Worldwide Candle Memorial Wall Postings

To my precious nephew (Forever 42): Dear Todd, You were taken from our family on July 10, 2014, as the result of a violent accident on your way to work on July 8, 2014, at the base of the Mid-Point Bridge in Cape Coral, FL. An "inattentive" driver, who should have never been behind the wheel of any vehicle, caused this 5-vehicle pile-up. You should still be here with your family, friends, and co-workers who still love, miss, and will never forget you. This evening I attended in your memory my tenth The Compassionate Friends' Worldwide Candle Lighting Service. I have my meaningful routine of driving afterward through the Christmas lights display in Rockwood Park, where I started training in August 2014 to walk my first 5K ever in your memory in September 2014. At every 5K, I've worn my bright yellow T-shirt with your photo, name, and RIP on the front, along with Drive Carefully, Watch Out for Motorcyles on the back, walking between five and seven 5K events annually ever since. Thousands of runners/walkers/event staff have had the opportunity over many miles and years to see your face in my advocacy for motorcyclists' safety. You were your mother's first child, your father's first child, my mother's first grandchild, my father's first grandchild, my brother's first nephew, and, of course, my first nephew. You are now great-uncle Todd to my two grandsons, ages 21 months and 2 months. Live Free, Ride Free with much love, Aunt Lisa XX OO

12/6/2000- 7/12/2021 Daniel, you were a person of kindness and endurance and fought the battle of your illness and never complained. You truly were an inspiration to many and your kindness has forever changed them. Mom and Dad are so proud that we had a son like you. God truly blessed us with you. You gave us 20 years of joy and happiness and we will forever love and miss you. Until we meet again, our sweet sweet son. One of your friends wrote: "Amazing friend, through any and everything, he would be the one to be there for you, have an open ear for anything, be the best friend around without anything ever in return. I wish you weren't taken from us so early. I wish we could've spent more time together. I am so sorry for being as distant as I was. I love you."
