Carla Whitney Nelson Dearest Carla, I know that you want us to be strong and brave and to find joy in life, just as you taught us to do. I will never know anyone more extraordinary than you. Since you left us here on earth February 11th, 2019, we ALL connect each month on that date. We listen to “Call Your Boyfriend!” 😄 As we celebrate you here every day, I know that you are cheering us on. Through your fears and your fight, you brought together a family – your own version of Carla’s Team. Your beautiful family plus those of us you graced with your love. The ones you welcomed into the journey that you were determined not to walk alone. We are sticking together and that will never change, NEVER. This is the greatest gift I could ever hope for. We miss you terribly – life has changed and we are all working to find our way. There is music written for you, so many prayers, turtles on bike-a-thons, and tonight, candles. We are taking care of each other the best way we can and I know that makes you smile. Till we meet again, keep letting us know that we are doing the right things and that you are safe, and healed, and happy. Love you, Carla, with all of my heart. ❤️🌈🐢🙏🏻😘❤️

Our son, Michael Scott Holbert passed away on December 12, 2011. He was born with Cystic Fibrosis. Had a double lung transplant a year and a half before going into rejection. He always had a very good attitude and loved life and lived it to the fullest!! All he wanted to do after his transplant was go back to work!! Which he did and bought a house, only lived in it for six months before passing! Miss him every day!! He was 26 when he passed away!! Love you Mike!!

We miss the smile on your face, And your warm, loving embrace. Memories of you are in our hearts, That’s all we have while we’re apart. Only 15 years we had with you, There was so much more we wanted to do. But God had a different plan, Why he took you from us, we’re trying hard to understand. Our wonderful son, so precious and mild, You are now Heaven’s very special child. We love you always and forever XOXOXOXOX Mom and Dan
