TCF Sibling Camp

The TCF Sibling Camp is a two-day camp for bereaved siblings ages 9-17 who have experienced the death of a brother or a sister. Held during The Compassionate Friends annual national conference, this new camp will provide siblings from the ages of 9 years to 17 years with a place that is their own during the conference weekend. The TCF Sibling Camp will allow younger siblings and teens to come together to do grief-related activities, to remember their brothers and sisters, and to have fun in a setting that is created just for them. Attendees will receive lunch and snacks on Friday and Saturday. The TCF Sibling Camp will be on Friday, July 8th from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday, July 9th from 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. Camp attendees will be rooming with their parents.

TCF’s Sibling Camp will enable children and teens the opportunity to spend time with other bereaved siblings, letting them know that they are not alone. The goal of this camp is to provide a caring environment for children and teens to be able to process their grief, while also having fun with traditional recreational activities. Created by experienced professionals in the childhood bereavement field, this camp will be based on best practices of childhood and adolescent grief. The TCF Sibling Camp will be overseen by trained staff and volunteers of The Compassionate Friends.
