In Loving Memory

In Loving Memory of Avery Fluhr

The loss of Debbie’s Grandson precious Avery Asa, forever 2 years old, occurred in 2011 due to a tragic accidental choking having lunch with his siblings. Avery had enlarged tonsils and was scheduled to have surgery once he reached age 3.

His heart was resuscitated and he remained in ICU in critical condition for just over 2 weeks when it was determined brain death occurred and he was taken off life support and his parents generously donated his organs to give life to others in need.

His middle name is Asa which means “healing” which he did indeed live up to his name by healing many others in need and gave both life and hope to families at what we know were desperate times for them as well as us.

Over the past 12 years it was the love, support and compassion given by many others that lead the family to decide in careers that serve others in ways such as them becoming a EMT, RN, Pediatric ICU Nurse Practitioner, Firemen, and a Power Line Worker. Avery’s brother Zander entered the Army and Parker is a Police Cadet. I as Avery’s Grandmother chose to help others that are in grief through Administrating and Moderatoring a number of our various online TCF Private Facebook Groups serving in Avery’s honor and memory.
