Gideon (forever 19), my handsome, loving, funny, intelligent, full-of-life young man; my only child, my heartbeat, my spitting image, I/we miss you so much. You were taken from us on September 6, 2025, by a drunk driver, when she carelessly chose to drive drunk, hitting you and leaving you brain dead; your heart stopped beating at 1:07 a.m. on September 7, 2025. My precious amazing son, I don’t know how to do life without you, but I’m putting one foot in front of the other to get justice for you. When your heart beat that last time, mine shattered into a million pieces. You are so missed, but your gift of being a giver in life lives on, even now; you have helped improve and save other lives, through tissue donation. My sweet boy, you are a HERO.
