In Loving Memory

In Loving Memory of Arthur Freeman

Arthur left our lives at the age of 90 from natural causes. Being the oldest of eight children, Arthur was very protective of his siblings, especially his younger sisters. Growing up without our mother, Arthur ‘s quiet and calm demeanor gave us a sense of security and stability.

Joining the ministry after the military, Arthur continued to devote his life to his family and those in need. He traveled throughout Alabama spreading the gospel (as he would say) until his health started declining. Even then he continued, visiting nursing and assisted living homes. Arthur loved people and loved sharing his experiences with those he came in contact with. He was also our family historian. Relatives of all ages would go to him researching or just wanting to know of our rich family heritage. I loved talking to my brother for hours and hours listening to him speak of our family tree. He always stated, the more you understand your heritage, the more you understand yourself.

We will forever love and miss our big brother.

Remembered by Siblings: Melvin, Bonita, Vanetta, Yvette and Elfreda
