In Loving Memory

In Loving Memory of Ruth Mersburgh

Ruth lived an amazing 22 years. She had many interest from cooking, gardening, sustainable living, crafting and crocheting. Her love for her family and God evident in her daily life. Ruth’s sport was racing Hawaiian outrigger canoes. She competed up to the state level, winning many medals as her teams captain. She found sailing Hawaiian canoes was her pure passion. Her sailing group Na Pe’a was where she had many adventures for 12 years. It was an incredible honor to parent Ruth as we learned so much from her as she loved working with many community service organizations. Just two years prior to her passing, she ran in the Miss Kona Coffee Pagent, winning the Community Service Award. After she passed, the award was renamed, The Ruth Mersburgh Community Service Award to honor her. Ruthie forever lives in our hearts and the hearts of all that knew her. We miss you dearly.
