~ Tony Rambis ~

Happy Birthday baby boy! Here’s a poem for you!

Thanks for your help, guidance and education while here and beyond. Your life, as many we have come to know, was way too short. The only gift to give now is to make you proud by helping other families find hope again, as we have. We love you always and forever!

Time Has Stood Still

Today marks yet another birthday,
A joyous time but with some dismay.

He was born to our family as number three,
A fair haired child who would look and wander.

With baby furniture stored, it came as a surprise,
Dual citizenship would be his consolation prize.

He was an adventurer from the start,
Visiting along Captains row he’d dart.

We moved and we moved and we moved,
New friends and family he’d keep amused.

Ingenious birthday gifts for his bro,
Just like the snake he taped together just so.

Always a good buddy to his big sis,
He’d help many ways though she’d resist.

Off to college at Purdue he would go,
And go and go and go and go!

Six years he’d spend in Boiler Maker land,
A few more than we ever planned.

A move we’d make to Savannah Georgia,
With fishing, sailing, and sights all gorgeous.

On a cruise we all went and a good time by all,
But especially Tony as evidenced by his crawl.

We fretted and worried, “Just when would he settle down?”
But looking back now, it was true happiness he had found.

He’d be another year older but time has stood still,
He is forever 29, never to be told he’s over the hill.

Yes, we all agree he’d like that you see,
As he is forever young and full of glee.
