The national magazine of The Compassionate Friends, We Need Not Walk Alone, has been described as “a support group in print,” featuring articles by and for parents, siblings, and grandparents who have experienced the death of a child in their family.

Winner of the prestigious Apex® award for publication excellence, We Need Not Walk Alone is the only magazine in the United States published specifically for parents, siblings, and grandparents who are going through the natural grieving process after a child has died. We Need Not Walk Alone is a published three times a year and you can subscribe by contacting the National Office or through the resource section on the national website. In addition, patron donors receive a free one year subscription. Foundation Donors receive a lifetime subscription.

One complimentary copy of We Need Not Walk Alone is sent to families who contact the National Office (one per family per address). 

Have you written a story or poem you’d like to have considered for publication in We Need Not Walk Alone? You don’t have to be a professional writer—just someone who has a story to tell that will touch our readers or in some way help them cope with the natural grief process.
