When a child has died, we as parents, siblings, grandparents, relatives, friends, coworkers, and simply caring people want to know what to do and how to help.
A series of brochures available from The Compassionate Friends has been written just for this purpose, covering many aspects of the grief process experienced by the family and those who care about them. All brochures have been written by bereaved parents, siblings, and/or grandparents and have gone through a review process often in conjunction with professionals in the field. All brochures may be downloaded for personal use only and are available at a nominal charge in larger quantities from TCF’s Resource Center.
Currently there are 26 English language brochures in print and five that have been translated into Spanish. In addition, while not available in a print version, additional brochures have been translated into Spanish and are available on TCF’s website in the Spanish language area. If you would like to sponsor the reprinting of a brochure in memory of a child, sibling, or grandchild, in honor of a special person, in memory of the children of a TCF chapter, or as a way of supporting the mission of The Compassionate Friends and its work, please fill out the brochure sponsorship form and send or fax the form to the National Office. Sponsorships are $500 and help fund the printing of 5,000 brochures.
Without the support of the many who care, this brochure program would not be possible. All sponsorships (a sponsorship line is included on the back of all brochures in a printing) are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. All brochures are protected by U.S. copyright and may not be reproduced for mass distribution including, but not limited to print, e-mail, or placement on a website. Appropriate websites are, however, welcome to link directly with this page or with any individual brochure.
